Dennis-Michael Broussard

Dennis-Michael BroussardDennis-Michael Broussard consultant, event producer, entrepreneur, and humanitarian. Partially raised in the Philippines and originally from New Orleans, Dennis-Michael Broussard relocated to San Diego to pursue his higher education aspirations. While in graduate school, he started a successful event production company that focused on nonprofits and their development.

Dennis-Michael volunteers tirelessly and serves on many nonprofit boards and committees, such as the USS Midway Museum’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee; the Japanese Friendship Garden’s Cultural and Diversity Committee; the Philippine Honorary Consulate of San Diego Board of Advisors; the San Diego International Sister Cities Association Board of Directors; the San Diego World Affairs Council as PR/Marketing Chair; the KPBS Producers Club Committee; the Board of Directors of the House of France; as Vice Chair of the Asian Culture & Media Alliance Board of Directors; and has been heavily involved on the regional and national level with the National Association of Asian American Professionals.

He is also known for his humanitarian efforts around the globe. In 2014, he founded The Humanitarian Project, an organization whose mission is to “help humanity” by planning and executing humanitarian projects for impoverished people around the world. Past humanitarian projects have included the distribution of water filters to where there is limited or no access to clean drinking water to villages, churches, schools, and orphanages in Senegal, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and the Philippines. Another project was to distribute teaching supplies and school equipment to a poor school district in eastern Nepal.

Dennis-Michael earned his B.S. in Marketing from the University of New Orleans. Dennis-Michael then earned an International Master of Business Administration from the University of San Diego, as well as a Master of International Affairs from the UC San Diego School of Global Policy and Strategy.  He studied abroad in Innsbruck, Austria, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Barcelona, Spain; and had an international marketing internship in Cape Town, South Africa.
