Johanne Gnagne

Born in Montreal, Canada, and raised in Côte d’Ivoire, Johanne brings a deeply multicultural perspective shaped by lived experience across continents.

She is widely recognized for translating African cultural heritage into sustainable social and economic impact. Through strategic, creative, and community-driven initiatives, she fosters dialogue, collaboration, and mutual prosperity across borders.

Johanne currently serves as Project Manager for Health Sciences International at UCSD, where she leads international health initiatives, global partnerships, and high-impact capacity-building programs while overseeing complex fiscal and operational portfolios at the intersection of international development, healthcare, education, and diplomacy.

Previously, she held senior roles with the Ministry of Health in Canada, where she led large-scale digital health and primary care initiatives serving dozens of communities, managed multidisciplinary teams, and oversaw operating budgets of up to $10M. Her work focused on system modernization, capacity building, quality improvement, and strengthening community-based healthcare delivery.

Johanne holds a Bachelor’s degree from Université du Québec à Montréal and a Master of Science in International Business.
