The following Resources provide helpful information to assist the parking public.

Downtown

Centre City Development Corporation (CCDC) is the City Council appointed Downtown Community Parking District Advisory Board. CCDC manages the parking district, addresses parking supply and mobility issues and facilitates improvements and activities that contribute to the effective management of parking resources for residents, visitors, and employees.

To address concerns regarding parking, CCDC worked with the Downtown community to develop the Comprehensive Downtown Parking Plan (PDF) adopted by the San Diego City Council in 1997. The plan includes short-term and long-term solutions, including things like a wayfinder signage system and the construction of public parking garages.

PETCO Park, opened in 2004, is the home of the San Diego Padres. The ballpark is located in the hub of the region's transportation network ensuring easy access and departure for visitors.

Uptown

Uptown Partnership, Inc., a non-profit corporation, is the City Council appointed advisory board for the Uptown Community Parking District. Their plans address parking inventory/supply, uniformity of parking allocation, traffic circulation, public information, public transit and comprehensive system management.

Mid-City

Three independent sub-districts have been established within the Mid-City district. The El Cajon Boulevard Business Improvement Association is the City Council appointed advisory group for the Greater Mid-City Community Parking District. The Greater Golden Hill and University Heights Community Development Corporations administer their community's portion of the district revenues. The District has developed annual and five-year strategies. Implementation plans are currently being prepared with projects to begin thereafter. One goal is to have on-street parking conditions evaluated at the request of business property owners.

La Jolla

Promote La Jolla, Inc is the designated advisory board for the La Jolla Community Parking District. Its parking implementation plan includes examining parking solutions such as: maximization of existing off-street parking inventory; employee parking and education programs; a reconfiguration of existing parking inventory; time limit parking changes; residential parking programs; pedestrian enhancement; parking enforcement; paid on-street parking; a public parking facility; signage and wayfinding programs; a community shuttle; public transit enhancements; disabled access; security; and public input, education and outreach.

Old Town

Old Town San Diego Chamber of Commerce is the designated advisory board for the Old Town Community Parking District. The district is examining solutions to the parking impacts within its boundaries. Strategies being considered include converting parallel parking to angled parking, red curb areas, a parking signage program, a residential parking subcommittee, paid on-street parking in the core commercial area and construction of a public parking facility.

Pacific Beach

Discover Pacific Beach is the designated advisory board for the Pacific Beach Community Parking District. The district is addressing parking issues such as variable on-street paid parking in the commercial district, residential permit parking, parking validation programs, parking requirements for new development, a parking information campaign, increasing the parking inventory, shared parking arrangements and additional enforcement of existing regulations.
