We are a banquet hall wedding venue situated in San Diego, CA. Located mere minutes from the historic Gaslamp Quarter, this award-winning library provides gatherings of all styles and sizes with a stunning celebration backdrop. Shiley Special Events Suite
Located on the ninth floor, this majestic room features towering windows with stunning views of San Diego Bay, East Village and Petco Park. As well as beautiful surroundings, it also features invaluable amenities, including a catering prep space, a serving area and more. Get-ready rooms are also provided, allowing you to prepare for your festivities in secluded peace and privacy.

The Special Events Team at San Diego Central Library is ready to put every detail in place so you can enjoy your wedding to the fullest. Offering a selection of services, they will assist you in crafting a planning package that fits your unique vision. Their options include setup and cleanup, lighting, sound and more. Shiley Special Events Suite
This flexible rental space has stunning views of San Diego Bay, East Village and Petco Park.

Services
Venue setup and cleanup:
- Layouts must be sent two months prior to wedding day.
- Entrance to venue for load-ins is granted access at the start of the rental time frame.
- Decorations and external vendor setup and cleanup not included.
1-Hour Wedding Ceremony

We offer 1-hour wedding ceremonies within Library open hours on select Mondays and Tuesdays of each month. Couples receive one hour of access for a non-denominational wedding ceremony with photos within the Epstein Bayview Terrace. Special wedding reception packages are also available. Please inquire at CentralEvents@sandiego.gov.
Included in this package
- Couples are invited to include up to 12 guests, regardless of age, to take part in their ceremony.
- Your photographer and officiant do not count towards the 12-person guest limit.
- Photos permitted within the Epstein Bayview Terrace and the Qualcomm Dome Terrace. Photo access is not permitted within the building.
- 12 chairs and ceremony décor will be set for your ceremony.
- Rental: $500
