PRINCIPAL PERFORMANCE AUDITOR
Luis Briseño joined the Office of the City Auditor in November 2010 as the Assistant to the City Auditor and was promoted to a Performance Auditor role in October 2012. In December 2020, Luis was promoted to a Principal Performance Auditor role. Since then, Luis has worked on audits that cover a wide range of topics, including water and wastewater operations, park maintenance, special events, employee compensation, the City's financial condition, affordable housing, and homelessness. His work on the Performance Audit of the City’s Public Right-of-Way Maintenance Activities encouraged the City to centralize customer service operations, which the City did by launching the 311 Customer Experience, including Get it Done.
Luis is a Certified Government Auditing Professional and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley with double majors in Political Economy and Political Science.
