PERFORMANCE AUDITOR II

Ruth Martin joined the Office of the City Auditor in January 2024. She has over ten years of combined experience working in municipal government including the County of San Diego and the City of San Diego.

Before joining the Office of the City Auditor, she worked for three years for the Supervisorial District 1 office at the County of San Diego, most recently serving as Interim Director of Policy and Legislative Affairs, where she provided policy analysis and managed the legislative portfolio of the entire office. Prior to that, she worked at the City of San Diego and served in several positions including as the Rules Committee Consultant for the Council President’s office. She has a bachelor’s degree in international studies: political science from the University of California San Diego.
