Office of the City Auditor
PRINCIPAL PERFORMANCE AUDITOR
Nathan Otto joined the Office of the City Auditor in September 2014, as a Performance Auditor I. Nathan has worked on a wide range of projects, including performance audits of the City’s Lifeguard division, Expedited Permitting program, Parks and Recreation, and several involving City finances. He also worked as the audit lead for a less-traditional project, affectionately dubbed the “Citywide Human Capital Fact Book”. That project examined the state of the City’s workforce across a range of dimensions, and identified multiple risk areas for future audit work related to recruiting, development, and retention of employees. Nathan has a variety of previous work experience, including a deployment with the US Army. He has a Master's of Public Policy from UCLA, and a bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota.
