June 18, 2012
Council President Anthony Young was joined by representatives from the Southeastern Economic Development Corporation, San Diego Community College District, staff from Public Works and Transportation and Storm Water Departments, and community members for the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
This project realigned 43rd Street, National Avenue, Logan Avenue, and San Pasqual Street. In addition to the roadway improvements, the sewer, water, storm drains were replaced. The new biofiltration basin will now reduce pollutants discharged into Chollas Creek and assist the City in meeting storm water discharge quality requirements established by the San Diego Regional Water Quality Control Board.
