A 113-page hardback book titled 'The Nobel Prize Annual 1988' presented by Ernst and Young as sponsor of the Nobel Prize Series. It contains photos and text to recount the achievements of the 1988 laureates, their personal histories, motivations and contributions which led to their prizes. This was given to Mayor O'Connor by Mr. Yasuo Tezuka, Administrative Vice-Minister, Okinawa Development Agency, Tokyo, Japan.
