Shield-shaped 10-2/16 x 8-5/16 plaque, raised gold-colored plate has design of helmet with crown, and two lions supporting cross under a crown, second gold plate reads 'Armas de Cartagena, Real Cedula de Phelipe II, Fecha en Madrid a XX de XII, M.D.L.X.V.', which translates to 'Weapons of Cartagena, Royal Proclamation of King Philip II'. Donated 1/6/81 by Jaramilla de Santa, Republic of Colombia Consul; occasion information was not provided to the City Clerk's office.
