First Stars and Stripes Plaque

Framed plaque -'First Stars and Stripes, Congress passed the first flag resolution on June 14th (now flag day) 1777. The battle of Bennington in August of the same year is believed to mark the first display, Old Glory with 13 stars, with 11 stars arranged in a semi-circle and one in each corner. The 76 denotes the year of Independence'. Donor and occasion information were not provided to the City Clerk's office.
