The City Rescue Mission operated in the Higgins Building, a former hotel, at 527 Fifth Avenue. Beginning in the 1950's, the Mission used this building until the 1980's. It is a three story brick building built in 1873 and was restored as part of the Gaslamp Quarter preservation. A restaurant is now on the ground floor.
