1966 photo of Guglielmetti Dairy, then owned by Pete Ferrari, which still remained on the site of the stadium when construction began. 20 dairies had dotted the valley. The first dairy was started in the 1880s and by the 1950s, dairy goods were the third-largest agricultural product in the county. When the City rezoned the land in the 1950s, many farmers took advantage of rising land values and sold out. By 1965, only one dairy remained. A sculpture and plaque commemorating the Guglielmetti Dairy is located on site.
