In the City Council meeting on January 15, 1991, the council adopted Resolution R-277213 which proclaimed 1991 to be the 'San Diego Zoo 75th Birthday Year' in San Diego and offered congratulations to the Zoo and encouraged all citizens to participate in the year-long festivities.
