Mayor Pete Wilson giving a proclamation to the 'High Society' Quartet during International Sweet Adelines Month. Their order in the photo is unknown: Bette Roberts (tenor), Kim Bone (lead), Sandy Shelver (baritone), Pat Morse (bass). The four original members of High Society were also members of the 1975 International Champion San Diego Chorus. They began singing together at a coffee shop after a chorus function and decided they wanted to be quartet champions. They went on to win the Sweet Adelines International 1976 Championship.
