1967 Aerial photo of Sweetwater Reservoir, a 960-acre artificial lake in San Diego formed by the Sweetwater Dam on the Sweetwater River. Construction of the dam was completed in 1888. It is open for shoreline fishing only, with access limited to 2.5 miles of designated shoreline. Fish species include largemouth bass, channel catfish, crappie, bluegill and carp.
