The 78th annual Ocean Beach Children's Kite Festival will teach hundreds of children how to make and fly a kite. It's on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 10 am to 4 pm, and it's all free! In addition to kite making there will be beautiful demonstrations by professional kite fliers. There will also be games, a craft fair, and food vendors.
Location: The Kite Festival takes place at Robb Field, a city-owned recreational field. Robb Field is located at the corner of Sunset Cliffs Blvd. and Voltaire Street. It is entered by turning onto Bacon Street from Voltaire Street. The Kite Festival takes place at numerous locations on Robb Field, including the meeting room and Multipurpose Fields #5, 6, 7, 8, and 9.
