CASE DATE:
June 18, 1992

LOCATION:
200 North 29th Street

SYNOPSIS:

In the early morning of June 18, 1992, officers responded to a call of a shooting at 223 North 29th Street. Upon their arrival, the officers found the victim, identified as 20-year-old Paul Gonzalez, lying on the porch of the residence suffering from four gunshot wounds. Paramedics rushed Gonzalez to a hospital, but Gonzalez died a short time later.

Witnesses reported hearing gunshots, and then the sound of people running eastbound in the alley between K and L Streets. Officers located bullet casings and other items of evidence on the west sidewalk of 200 29th Street. It appeared that Gonzalez was shot there, and then ran across the street to his house where he called for help and collapsed.
