The Area Manager II supervises and coordinates, through subordinate supervisors, area-wide recreation programs and activities, facility and grounds maintenance for multiple or significant recreation centers, cultural and art programs, municipal golf courses, and city lakes, typically requiring a Bachelor's degree or equivalent education, and two years of full-time experience as a Recreation Center Director, Grounds Maintenance Supervisor, Utility Supervisor, or equivalent professional-level recreation or grounds maintenance experience, along with a valid California Class C Driver’s License.
