For Fiscal Year 2023, the Personnel Department:

 

•     Evaluated 44,515 applications for employment.

•     Tested 2,411 Police Recruits, 737 Fire Recruits, 143 lifeguard applicants and 630 dispatcher applicants.

•     Conducted 483 recruitment processes.

•     Fingerprinted and evaluated background records of 2,248 new hires/rehires.

•     Conducted 422 classification studies, 54 salary studies, and completed 63 salary survey requests from other municipalities.

•     Provided various City departments with 680 hours of temporary clerical support through the Clerical Pool Program. 

•     Attended 66 career fairs.
