Apply For Jobs Online
To apply online, application forms and a list of current recruitments are available under Current City Jobs.
Notification of Recruitments
If a job in which you are interested is not currently being recruited, you may choose to be notified when the job(s) becomes available for application. To do this online, select Job Interest Cards.
Application materials must be received at the Employment Information Center NO LATER THAN 5 p.m. (Pacific Time) ON THE CLOSING DATE. Postmarks as proof of meeting the final filing date are not accepted. If you are applying online and do not submit your application prior to 5 p.m. (Pacific Time) on the closing date, your application will be rejected. If you return your application materials via the United States Postal Service, you should use “Certified Mail – Return Receipt Requested“ to provide verification of timely delivery. Do not send applications via interoffice mail.
Please do not submit a resume to the Personnel Department. Resumes will NOT be accepted instead of an employment application. If you are contacted for an interview, you may be asked to provide a resume to the hiring department at that time.
If your application is approved, you will be notified once your name has been placed on the eligible list. The eligible list will be forwarded to the hiring department. Department managers will contact and interview as many candidates from the list as needed to fill the vacancies.
If your application is not approved, you will receive a Notice of Application Review.
