Asbestos and Lead Program Inspector

The Asbestos and Lead Program Inspector manages asbestos and lead abatement projects for City-owned buildings, conducts safety inspections, enforces City codes and regulations, develops management plans, monitors contractor compliance, and conducts training on asbestos and lead hazards, typically requiring a Lead Certified Inspector/Assessor certification from the California Department of Health Services or three years of relevant experience, completion of AHERA accredited courses, and a valid California Class C Driver License. An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related environmental science field can substitute for up to two years of experience.
