Grounds Maintenance Supervisor

The Grounds Maintenance Supervisor oversees crews engaged in grounds and facilities maintenance at major park and cemetery sites, manages City-wide pest and weed control, and directs park redevelopment functions. Responsibilities include supervising planting, pruning, irrigating, landscape construction, and maintenance tasks, assigning work, instructing on safety procedures, estimating labor and materials, overseeing maintenance contracts, and handling public complaints. The role requires three years of full-time experience in grounds maintenance activities including fertilizing, planting, pruning, operating and maintaining equipment, and installing irrigation systems. A valid California Class C Driver’s License is required.
