Under general supervision, a Police Dispatcher in the Police Department Communications Center uses a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system to monitor radio frequencies and dispatch police units to crime scenes and emergencies. Minimum qualifications include high school graduation, G.E.D. test passage, C.H.S.P.E. passage, or possession of a college degree.
