Senior Communications Technician
The Senior Communications Technician in San Diego designs, constructs, installs, tests, modifies, and maintains complex electronic communications systems, including RF communications, mobile and portable VHF/UHF, SCADA, and microwave radio equipment. Responsibilities include conducting surveys, maintaining IP/data networks, designing components for projects, leading lower-level staff in installation and repair tasks, providing technical guidance, and operating specialized test equipment. Minimum qualifications include one year of journey-level experience as a Communications Technician with the City of San Diego and a valid California Class C Driver’s License.
