Electrical is responsible for over 1,500 traffic signals and over 40,000 street lights in the City, as well as sharing the maintenance of lights on the freeway off/on ramps that intersect city streets. In this era of high-energy costs our Electrical Section strives to find ways to operate as economically as possible including using lower wattage bulbs that give the same amount of light and converting signal lights to LED.
