Art in Capital Improvement Projects

In 2004, the Mayor and City Council unanimously approved amendments to the PDF icon Council Policy for Public Art resulting in a set-aside of 2% for art in the City's capital improvement projects.

The following public art projects associated with the City's capital improvement projects are currently underway:
 

Chollas Water Operations Facility
Artist: Rob Ley

Artist Rob Ley has been selected to create a permanent public artwork for the new Chollas Water Operations Facility that will be located in the Chollas Operations Yard at Caminito Chollas and College Grove Drive in San Diego’s Oak Park neighborhood. On Thursday, May 4, meet with Rob one-on-one and share your thoughts on water’s connection to your life and the Oak Park community.
