The San Diego Regional Energy Innovation Cluster identifies innovative entrepreneurs with an office in California and a business presence in San Diego, Imperial, Riverside, or San Bernardino counties that are developing solutions to the region’s priority energy needs and provides them with a customized plan that includes access to industry connections, advisory support, technology commercialization services, and proof-of-concept and pilot testing. To qualify, a business ust ultimately deliver benefits to California ratepayers, and have a breakthrough energy technology in the domains of: Energy Efficiency (envelope, lighting, HVAC, plugload, pumps) Renewable Energy (hydro, wind, solar, geothermal, wave) Energy Storage (mechanical, electrochemical, electrical, thermal) Smart Metering/Smart Grid (hardware, software, data analytics, microgrids) Transportation (electric vehicles, hybrids, infrastructure, software platforms) Energy Services (energy planning, analysis, and management)
