Capital Improvements Program (CIP)
The project is currently funded for the General Development Plan (GDP) only. The project involves the vacation of Chollas Parkway, conversion of the vacated right of way to dedicated parkland, and creation of an approved GDP for a neighborhood park.
The project includes obtaining an approved GDP for a new Chollas Triangle Park. The park will be developed on a triangular parcel surrounded by Chollas Parkway, 54th Street and University Avenue. The project will vacate Chollas Parkway between University Avenue and 54th Street to allow for the park's development. Park amenities to be determined during the community input process, including active and passive uses such as children's play areas, walking paths, flexible turf areas, a community event space and picnic areas.
