Created in 1868 out of Pueblo Lands, the City Park and "Reservation", Balboa Park has been the site of many significant events in San Diego's history including the famous Expositions of 1915-16 and 1935-36. Presently, Balboa Park remains a prime attraction for visitors and citizens alike. With sites such as the San Diego Zoo and National History Museum, Balboa Park offers cultural events, city celebrations, educational museums and year round entertainment for all ages.
