The U.S. Department of Transportation and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are now accepting applications for $26 million in funding to support the next generation of aviation professionals.
The FAA’s Aviation Workforce Development Grant Program is strengthening the pipeline of future pilots, mechanics, technicians and drone operators through training, apprenticeships, hands‑on experience and outreach using state‑of‑the‑art tools like simulators.
Eligible organizations include schools, air carriers, aviation nonprofits, labor groups and government agencies. Applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on June 22, 2026.
