Contingent upon funding.
Working with community members and stakeholder groups, an update to the City’s Biology Guidelines will provide opportunities for more streamlined permitting requirements for projects that are consistent with the City’s Climate Action Plan and Climate Resilient SD, such as wetland restoration, habitat restoration, and other channel maintenance necessary to ensure public health and safety.

This initiative focuses on the following priority areas of the Strategic Plan:
Protect & Enrich Every Neighborhood
Updates the City’s Biology Guidelines to allow for more streamlined permitting for wetland restoration, green infrastructure and channel maintenance.
Champion Sustainability
Supports implementation of Climate Resilient SD policies for a thriving natural environment to allow for more wetland restoration, protection of public health and safety, and improve air and water quality.
