History of the Center
The recreation center was dedicated on Nov. 30, 1993, to serve the community's residents.
Directions and Bus Route
From Interstate 15, exit Mercy Road and travel west. Turn right on Black Mountain Road. Turn left at the first light, Canyonside Park Road. The center is located next to the Rancho Peñasquitos Preserve, which offers trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding.
The center is not accessible by bus.

The center is closed on City Holidays.
Facilities
There are two indoor basketball courts, a multipurpose room, two meeting rooms, lighted baseball and softball fields, lighted soccer fields and tennis courts, park areas for picnics, and play areas for children.
Rancho Peñasquitos Community Recreation Group
Meets fourth Thursday every other month at 6:30 p.m. in the Game Room at the Lois J. Mangarelli (Canyonside) Recreation Center. November’s meeting date varies.
