The Street Lighting Electrician installs, modifies, services, maintains, and repairs street lighting systems, including high and low voltage electrical wiring and equipment. Responsibilities include testing and replacing electrical components, reading blueprints, coordinating with utility agencies, and operating aerial lift equipment. Minimum qualifications include completion of a state-accredited Electrician Apprenticeship Program or equivalent experience, including one year in street lighting systems maintenance. A Crane Operator Certification and a valid California Class B Driver License are required.
