Report Suspicious Activity
If you See Something, Say Something
Across the country, residents share everyday moments with their neighbors, family, coworkers and friends. It's easy to overlook these routine moments, but as you go about your day, if you see something that doesn't seem quite right, say something.
By being alert and reporting suspicious activity, you can help protect your neighbors and community. Signs of suspicious activity may include:
- Expressed or implied threats.
- Surveillance.
- Testing or probing of physical and cyber security.
- Weapon and materials acquisition/storage.
- Organized financing and recruiting.
- More examples.
What to report
Alert local authorities with as much detail as possible, including:
- Who or what you saw.
- When you saw it.
- Where it occurred.
- Why it's suspicious.
If you’re unsure if the activity is “suspicious,” please remember to focus on the actual behavior. Factors such as race, ethnicity, national origin, or religious affiliation alone are not suspicious. We are committed to ensuring that the privacy, civil rights, and civil liberties of our citizens are preserved.
