Teen Nites
Teen Nite is offered every Friday night at 10 recreation centers throughout the City of San Diego. All teens ages 12-17 years old are welcome to attend and enjoy free activities, food, entertainment, sports, crafts, music, video games, inflatables and more. All sites have free WIFI and offer a fun and safe space to hang out with friends.

2026 Summer Camp
Summer Camp at Encanto Recreation Center is for children ages 6-12 years old. Kids will participate in a variety of activities, arts and crafts, games, and sports as they have fun in a safe environment. Weekly fee includes lunch and snack. Kids must wear close toed shoes. Kids under 8 years old MUST have booster seat for field trips.

Cost: $42 for all leagues

History of the Center
Land for the Encanto Recreation Center was acquired by the City in 1940, and the facility was built in 1964. The senior center was added in 1966, and the fields were completed in 1986.
Directions and Bus Route
From Interstate 805, go to Imperial Avenue and travel east to 65th Street. Turn left on 65th Street and proceed up the hill. The center is on the right.
The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS Routes 916/917 and the San Diego Trolley's Orange Line.

The center is closed on City Holidays.
Facilities
There is one baseball field, one soccer field, one outdoor basketball court, a tot lot and areas for picnics and other leisure activities, a spacious meeting room for up to 88 people that can be divided into two smaller rooms, a craft room, a kitchen and a large indoor basketball court.
Encanto Community Recreation Group
Encanto Community Recreation Group is looking for new members. Membership is free and open to the public. The Community Recreation Group serves as an advisory group to the City of San Diego Parks and Recreation Department, and facilities include Encanto Recreation Center, Emerald Hills neighborhood Park, Marie Widman Neighborhood Park and Encanto Elementary Joint Use Field. Meetings are held every other month on the fourth Wednesday at 6 p.m. More information is available by calling the Encanto Recreation Center at 619‑527‑3411.
