Movie in the Park 6:45 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

*Free admittance with a contribution of a toy to Toys for Tots.

History of the Center
The center was dedicated in 1998. It offers the community a large open-space park with a gazebo that is very popular for special event rentals.
Directions and Bus Route
From Interstate 15 north, take the Ted Williams Parkway/Freeway exit and continue on the state Route 56 freeway (Ted Williams) west. Exit at Black Mountain Road. Turn right and proceed to Oviedo Street, and turn right. Go to the top of the hill. The recreation center is on the right.
From Interstate 15 south, take the Ted Williams Parkway/Freeway exit. Turn left at the stop light and proceed to state Route 56 freeway (Ted Williams) west. Exit at Black Mountain Road. Turn right and proceed to Oviedo Street, and turn right. Go to the top of the hill. The recreation center is on the right.
The center is not accessible by bus.

The center is closed on City Holidays.
Facilities
There is a children's play area, a multipurpose room with a kitchen, a craft room, meeting rooms, a gazebo and amphitheater, a fitness course and two full and four half basketball courts.
Rancho Peñasquitos Community Recreation Group
Meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of the month at 7:30 p.m. at the Canyonside Recreation Center, except in December, when they will be held at the Hilltop Recreation Center on the second Thursday of the month. Also, there is no meeting in November.
