Parks & Recreation
Morley Field was named after John Morley, who served as a park superintendent in Balboa Park from 1911 to 1939. His guidance and inspiration for the cultivation of the park made for many of the beautiful gardens that are in the park today.
Morely Field is located at the corner of Texas and Upas streets, in the northeast section of Balboa Park. From Interstate 8 take the Texas Street exit and proceed past Upas Street. This will take you directly into the Morley Field Sports Complex.
Morley Field is accessible by bus via SDMTS Routes 2, 7, 10 and 966.
