This summer Ocean Beach Recreation Center will be having two Movie in the Park showings. The first one will be at Dusty Rhodes Park, 2500 Sunset Cliffs Blvd. SD CA 92107, on June 20th and will be showing the Garfield Movie. The second Movie will be Despicable Me 4 and will be at Ocean Beach Elementary Joint Use field located at 4702 Newport Ave. on August 8th. Both movies will begin at Dusk and will have snacks and activities. So, bring your beach chairs and picnic supplies down to your local park for a movie under the stars this summer.

The Ocean Beach Recreation Center offers Youth/Adult Self Defense classes, Kids Cooking and Baking Classes, Pee Wee Sports, Kids Art and Craft Classes, Youth Basketball Leagues, Youth Volleyball Leagues, as well as Adult Pottery/Sculpture Classes, Adult Coed Dodgeball Leagues, Adult Coed Kickball Leagues, Women’s Softball Leagues and Men’s 16-inch Softball Leagues.
History of the Center
With dedication and a grand opening in 1946, the center is one of the oldest in the City.
Directions and Bus Route
From Interstate 8 west, take the Sunset Cliffs Boulevard exit and turn left. Continue on Sunset Cliffs to Santa Monica Avenue and turn left. The recreation center is on the left, across from Ocean Beach Elementary School.
The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS Routes 35 and 923.
