Ocean Beach has one of the longest running Men's 16" “Chicago Style” Softball Leagues in San Diego. Do you have a team of guys who would like to play? Multiple seasons throughout the year. All games are played on Tuesday nights at Bob Kenny Field (corner of Ebers and Newport) in Ocean Beach. The Ocean Beach Recreation Center offers Youth/Adult Self Defense classes, Kids Cooking and Baking Classes, Pee Wee Sports, Kids Art and Craft Classes, Youth Basketball Leagues, Youth Volleyball Leagues, as well as Adult Pottery/Sculpture Classes, Adult Coed Dodgeball Leagues, Adult Coed Kickball Leagues, Women’s Softball Leagues, & Men’s 16" Softball Leagues.
With dedication and grand opening 1946, the center is one of the oldest in the City.
From Interstate 8 west take the Sunset Cliffs Boulevard exit and turn left. Continue on Sunset Cliffs to Santa Monica Avenue and turn left. The center is on the left, across from the elementary school.
The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS Routes 35 and 923.
