Learn to Play Lacrosse

Come join us and learn the fundamentals of the fastest growing sport in America! Brush up on your skills or learn some new ones with an emphasis on teaching one-on-one instructions and a focus on the fundamentals of the game. Participants can expect to learn the skills associated with shooting, stick handling, passing, in-game strategy, offensive/defensive techniques and more!
Age groups: 5 to 8 and 8 to 15 years old
Dates: Tuesdays, January 8 to February 12 (Boys 5 to 8 and Girls 8 to 15)
Wednesdays, January 9 to February 13 (Boys 8 to 15)

Kids Ceramics

Join us for an exciting opportunity to learn how to make ceramics! Students will each get to choose a piece to make their very own and get to take the finished product home! Let's get creative and make something cool!
No Class December 24 (Christmas Eve) and February 18 (Presidents Day).
Age groups: 6 to 12 years
Dates: Mondays, December 3 to 31, January 7 to 28, February 4 to 25

Arts and Crafts

Come join the fun at Robb Field's Arts and Crafts class!
Projects will vary week to week, so you can make and take home your coolest creations! Students will participate in a variety of fun projects in an open, encouraging and safe environment.
Age groups: 4 to 11 years old
Dates: Wednesdays, January 2 to 23 and February 6 to 27

Disc Golf

Ever had a nice Frisbee session at the beach or park? How about taking those tossing skills to the next level? Disc golf challenges players to toss discs into specific targets from multiple distances. It's fun for any and all experience levels. Let's see how good you can be!
Age Groups: Any
Dates: Wednesdays, December 5 to 26

Purchasing a Robb Fitness Club Membership Online (effective September 1st, 2018)


  1. Navigate to sdrecconnect.com
  2. Select Memberships at the top of the page
  3. Choose Membership option and click Add to Cart
  4. Log in with your online credentials, or create an account by clicking Create my Account
  5. Click Add to my Cart
  6. Select Participant and click Continue
  7. Check the dollar amount charged and ensure it is correct, then click Continue
  8. Click Proceed to Checkout
  9. Initial in the box and click the small box to acknowledge the waivers, then click Next
  10. Enter payment information and click Pay and Finish

The BookNook program is a "take a book, leave a book" gathering place at your favorite recreation center. Share your favorite literature and stories with others.

History of the Center

The Robb Field Fitness Club has grown from its modest beginning in one small room with a limited number of weights, into one of the finest municipal facilities in Southern California. The complex now has four workout rooms including an outdoor area, and includes free weights, universals, rowing machines, treadmills, lifecycles, and a variety of other training equipment in addition to satellite televisions and changing areas.

From Interstate 8 west, take the Sunset Cliffs Boulevard exit (the end of the freeway), make a left onto Sunset Cliffs Boulevard, a right onto West Point Loma Boulevard, then a right onto Bacon Street.

The field is accessible by bus via SDMTS Routes 35 and 923.
