Balboa Park Golf Course is a challenging par 72, where Sam Snead holds the course record, and a nine-hole executive course.

It features stellar views of downtown San Diego, Balboa Park, Point Loma and the Pacific Ocean. The oldest public golf facility in San Diego, Balboa Park Golf Course also offers a driving range, Pro Shop, coffee shop, halfway house and practice putting greens.

The course is just five minutes away from the San Diego Convention Center, downtown hotels, Little Italy, and the Gaslamp Quarter Historic District.

Course Facts and Figures

Balbo Park Golf Course is the closest golf course to downtown San Diego, conveniently located near the state Route 94 and Interstate 5 freeways.

Facilities include an 18-hole golf course and a nine-hole executive golf course as well as a driving range, practice putting greens, coffee shop and halfway house.

The Pro Shop offers golf merchandise for sale, rental clubs and hand or power golf carts. The Professional Golf Instruction staff offers group and individual golf lessons.

Carts must be kept on the paths around all tee and green complexes. Adherence to cart rules is strictly enforced. Please help us maintain the golf course by following the posted cart rules, all Marshal instructions and staying on the cart paths whenever possible.
