CONNECT with the CityGeneral Plan Refresh (Blueprint SD)
Projected Completion: 2024
With housing costs rising due in part to the scarcity of homes in San Diego, Blueprint SD will include an amendment to the General Plan to include policies to encourage more home production in areas that can best help us achieve our climate action goals. These policies will help facilitate transit, bicycle and pedestrian connections as part of ongoing and future community plan updates and other land use planning initiatives.
Strategic Plan Priority Areas of Focus
This initiative focuses on the following priority areas of the Strategic Plan:
Create Homes for All of Us
Promotes housing strategically in areas close to transit, stores, jobs, schools and parks.
Advance Mobility & Infrastructure
Identifies areas for new homes and other development that can best be served by transit pedestrian, and bicycle infrastructure investments.
Champion Sustainability
Reduces greenhouse gas emissions by planning for new development located close to where people need to go.
