The Inclusionary Housing Regulations were last updated in 2019, with localized inclusionary housing requirements subsequently adopted for Barrio Logan in 2020 and University City in 2024. With over five years since the last comprehensive evaluation, a comprehensive update to the City's Inclusionary Housing Regulations is prudent to balance the need for affordable housing and the overall production of affordable housing, in a manner that affirmatively furthers fair housing across the City.
