Community Relations Assistant to the Police Chief

Performs liaison work in community and minority group relations for the Police Department, reporting directly to the Police Chief, advising on policies and training, representing the Chief at civic events, and responding to emergency calls. Requires 60 college units or an Associate's Degree, or a California Intermediate P.O.S.T. certificate, and four years of experience as a sworn peace officer, including one year in community relations roles within the San Diego Police Department.
