Individual Artist Fellowship
The Individual Artist Fellowship for Region 8 is a bi county initiative supporting artists and culture bearers in San Diego and Imperial Counties. The California Arts Council selected the City of San Diego as the Administering Organization for the region.
The fellowship recognizes artistic excellence across disciplines and traditions, provides unrestricted financial support at key career stages, and connects fellows with coaching, networking, professional development, storytelling, mapping, and public programming opportunities.
Current Fellowship Awards
- Emerging Artist Fellowship: $5,000.
- Established Artist Fellowship: $10,000.
- Legacy Artist Fellowship: $50,000.
Current status: Applications for the current Region 8 fellowship cycle are closed. The current fellowship period continues through August 31, 2027. Future fellowship opportunities depend on California Arts Council program funding and future regional administration decisions.
