This Pathway May Be a Fit If...

  • The primary beneficiaries are artists, cultural workers, creative organizations, or the broader creative sector.
  • The project provides services, training, technical assistance, professional development, coaching, incubation, convening, shared tools, market access, space, or another form of field support.
  • The project responds to a clear creative sector need, challenge, gap, or opportunity.
  • The work creates useful resources, relationships, systems, or infrastructure for the sector.

What Distinguishes this Pathway

The primary result is stronger creative sector capacity rather than a public event or a community participation program. A Creative Ecosystem Builder project does not need to culminate in a public performance to create meaningful public benefit.

Direct Support to Artists or Organizations

Cultural Affairs is developing the final rule for direct stipends, subawards, or pass through support within Creative Ecosystem Builder projects. If allowed, the guidelines will identify the circumstances, selection requirements, and accountability expectations before applications open.
