 Low-income residents and visitors can access a variety of discount programs offered by the City of San Diego’s permitted shared mobility device operators. In order to be eligible for these programs, you must be enrolled in a state or federal assistance program.

Bird Access
- Free rides up to 30 minutes
- Non-smartphone option:- Text-to-ride functionality is available, email sdaccess@bird.co and provide a phone number to receive an SMS text message.
 
- Non-bank card option:- Pre-paid credit cards are accepted.
 
Enroll by emailing sdaccess@bird.co. Provide your name, phone number and proof of enrollment in a state, federal or qualified assistance program.
Lyft Community Pass
- $5 monthly membership offers unlimited 30-minute rides
- Non-smartphone option:- Community Pass members can call Lyft to start and end scooter rides during service hours.
 
- Non-bank card option- Pre-paid credit cards are accepted. Billing is eligible for ACH withdrawal from a checking or prepaid banking account.

Wheels For All
- Free rides up to 30 minutes
- Non-smartphone option:- Enroll online for contact information to request that a device be unlocked without use of a smartphone.
 
- Non-bank card option:- Users can add funds to their account by sending a check or money order to Wheels directly, which is applied to their account.
