On June 18, 2014, City Councilmember Scott Sherman hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new City park model. It is one that improves recreation opportunities while also improving water quality. The Councilmember joined community leaders and local residents to unveil upgrades to Cabrillo Heights Neighborhood Park that will expand picnic, shade and play areas as well as adding new "rain gardens" to protect local water quality.
