CADD Standards and Drafting Files
The City of San Diego has transitioned to the Autodesk Architecture, Engineering & Construction products and is in the process of finalizing the file conversions, data migrations and configuration of the Computer Aided Design & Drafting (CADD) resources. The City of San Diego has approved this set of CADD Standards to be used as a minimum in creating CADD drawings for Citywide Capital Improvement Projects. These standards are associated with our current Autodesk 2025 version. All City and Consultant CADD Users, who are producing CADD drawings must utilize these standards for City submittals. Some Citywide Departments may have additional requirements for preparing and submitting CADD drawings. Please ensure you communicate directly with that department for specific details, if required. Also, information on this website is subject to change at any time due to updates and revisions as needed. It is the users responsibility to ensure the latest CADD and Drafting Standards are being followed. If you have any questions regarding these standards, please contact ECP-CADD@sandiego.gov.
