The mission of Irreverent Warriors is to bring veterans together using humor and camaraderie to improve mental health and prevent veteran suicide. Irreverent Warriors hold an annual event, the Silkies Hike, to accomplish our mission.

The Silkies Hike is a fun, upbeat and positive environment. A slow paced walk through our host city, where veterans, active duty and reserve service members come together. We share stories, experiences, jokes and laughter. All in the name of making a positive impact to our community, culture and mental health. We encourage peer to peer engagement, networking, friendship and bonding together as we once knew it in the military. Filing our day to day lives after the hike with a strong sense of belonging and a coast to coast mental health support network.
